ECAT

The presence of the Industrial Internet of things, with a market worth over 120 billion dollars, allows companies to give value and regenerate their assets, replacing obsolete systems and equipping them with connectivity and management solutions. Abinsula has developed for ECAT, a global watch and bell company, a custom Linux-based system for the control of an industrial clock to be used in monumental sites. Through this system it will be possible to automate the management of events related to the operation of a bell tower, manage it remotely, with remote diagnostics. An innovative user experience has been created in order to make the product user friendly and more easy to use.

INDUSTRY AUTOMATION LEADER

For an industrial products top player, Abinsula has developed an industrial gateway with support for communication via MODBUS protocol. The company had a problem concerning software functioning on hardware at the end of its lifecyle, together with the unavailability of the team that had previously developed the code. It was therefore necessary to port the software to the new hardware, mapping the new peripherals available. The possibility of using new communication interfaces (Wifi and 4G) has been added. A web server was also developed and integrated to view data collected via MODBUS from the different devices connected to the industrial network. .

ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURER

For several years now, Eurotech, a global company with a parent company in Italy specializing in embedded PCs and IoT software platforms, has established itself on the market with some families of IoT multiservice gateways. Each gateway is able to communicate with a wide range of local communication protocols translating them into a web based data flow. Abinsula has supported the creation of a customized Linux distribution, capable of making all peripherals available and to update itself based on the various hardware versions of a given family of devices. This was possible thanks to the creation of Linux Yocto recipes, the configuration of the BSP as well as methods for fastboot and system update.

CONCRETE MIXING MACHINES

Digital transformation impacts all sectors, including the construction one. Industrial machinery capable of mixing concrete, as well as all modern construction, provides standards and control of parameters that are as punctual and in real time as possible. Through a control card for construction machinery made by a third party, Abinsula has created a customized telemetry software, similar to automotive telemetry, which allows real-time data monitoring of concrete production.
